Abstract

Business growth is a critical aspect in every business to sustain operations and expansion. This study investigated the mediating role of entrepreneurial skills in the relationship between business strategies and business growth among women entrepreneurs. A total of 80 women entrepreneurs in Monkayo, Davao de Oro, who operated small- and medium-sized enterprises in the food and non-food sectors and had been in business for at least a year, were selected as respondents through a mediation analysis. Experts validated the survey questionnaire. Mean, Standard Deviation, Spearman Rho, Mediation Analysis, and Path Plot were the statistical tools utilized to analyze the data. The study found that business growth, business strategies, and entrepreneurial skills were high. There was a significant and positive relationship between business strategies and entrepreneurial skills, and between business strategies and business growth. Entrepreneurial skills were the mediating factor of the study. Results revealed that entrepreneurial skills partially mediate the relationship between business strategies and business growth.
